TERMS AND CONDITIONS – Massey Open Day Competitions

1. The Competitions open and close on the following dates:
   a. AirPods Competition: Opens 9.00am Wednesday 6 August 2025 and closes midnight Thursday 4 September 2025 (the “Competition Period – AirPods”).
   b. International Virtual Open Day Survey Competition: Opens 4.00pm Thursday 31 July 2025 and closes midnight Sunday 7 September 2025 (the “Competition Period – IVOD Survey”).
   c. Campus Open Day Post-Event Survey Competition: Opens on the date of each Campus Open Day (Manawatū Wednesday 6 August 2025, Auckland Friday 15 August 2025, Wellington Friday 22 August 2025) and closes midnight Sunday 14 September 2025 (the “Competition Period – Campus Survey”).
2. Eligibility
   a. AirPods Competition: Open to all participants who register on Eventbrite and check in at the Check-In and Information Point at the Manawatū, Auckland, or Wellington Open Day, or online using the form at the Distance Online Open Day on Thursday 4 September 2025. Participants must reside in New Zealand.
   b. International Virtual Open Day Survey Competition: Open to all participants who attended the International Virtual Open Day and completed the post-event survey in full. Open worldwide.
   c. Campus Open Day Post-Event Survey Competition: Open to all participants who attended a Massey University Campus Open Day and completed the official post-event survey in full. Participants must reside in New Zealand.
   d. One entry per person per competition.
   e. Employees, agents, agents’ employees and contractors of Massey University and the Immediate Family* of such persons are not eligible to enter or win prizes.
   *“Immediate Family” means the parents, siblings, children, and spouse or partner (legal or de facto) of that person.
3. Prizes
   a. AirPods Competition: Four prizes (one per event). Each prize is Apple AirPods (4th generation) with Lightning Charging Case valued at $349.00 NZD.
   b. International Virtual Open Day Survey Competition: One prize of a $75 USD Amazon.com Gift Voucher.
   c. Campus Open Day Post-Event Survey Competition: One prize of a $100 NZD supermarket voucher.
   d. In the event that a prize becomes unavailable, Massey University may substitute a prize of equal value. Prizes are not transferable, cannot be converted to cash, and may only be claimed by the winner.
4. Prize Draws
   a. AirPods Competition winners will be randomly drawn from all eligible entries by 10:00am Monday 8 September 2025.
   b. International Virtual Open Day Survey Competition winner will be drawn by 5:00pm Wednesday 10 September 2025.
   c. Campus Open Day Post-Event Survey Competition winner will be drawn by 5:00pm Wednesday 17 September 2025.
   d. The decision of Massey University marketing staff will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5. Notification of Winners
   Participants are responsible for supplying correct contact details. If Massey University is unable to contact a winner within 48 hours of the draw, the entry will be declared invalid and a new winner selected. Massey University takes no responsibility for lost or damaged entries or any loss in connection with receiving or using the prize. Winners take the prize entirely at their own risk and indemnify Massey University against any claims relating to its use. Winners are responsible for any insurance, tax, or other costs associated with the prize.
6. Massey University reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or acting in a fraudulent or dishonest manner.
7. Winners agree to take part in reasonable promotional activities, including photographs and publication of their name.
8. If any competition cannot be run as planned for reasons beyond Massey University’s control, Massey University may cancel or amend the competition.
9. Massey University is not liable for any direct, indirect, special, or consequential loss or damage caused in relation to the prize or the competition.
10. Privacy
    Personal information provided will be held in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. It will be stored on a database and may be used only for the purposes of administering the competition and publishing the winner’s name on the Massey University website and social media channels. Massey University will not sell or distribute personal information to third parties. Entrants may request access to or removal of their information by contacting Massey University.
11. Participation in any of these competitions is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
