Wellington graduation ceremonies -

Massey University's Wellington graduation ceremony will be on 14 and 15 April 2026.

Note: Cyclone Vaianu possible impact

Wellington is forecast to be affected by Cyclone Vaianu on Sunday and Monday. Graduands will be notified of any weather impacts and/or changes by email, text and via Massey's social media channels.

Tuesday April 14

  • 9.30am - Whakapōtaetanga Māori A (Māori Ceremony A)

    In person
    Te Rau Karamu Marae, Massey University, Wallace Street, Mount Cook, Wellington

    All graduands from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Sciences and Massey Business School should attend this ceremony. Kai is available after the ceremony.

  • 2.00pm - Whakapōtaetanga Māori B (Māori Ceremony B)

    All graduands from the College of Creative Arts and College of Health should attend this ceremony. Kai is available after the ceremony.

Wednesday April 15

  • 9.30am - Ceremony 2

    Michael Fowler Centre, 111 Wakefield Street, Wellington

    All graduands from the College of Creative Arts should attend this ceremony. Kai is available after the ceremony.

  • 12.00pm - Refreshments

    In person
    Michael Fowler Centre, 111 Wakefield Street, Wellington

    Light refreshments will be served from 12 noon before the procession.

  • 12.45pm to 1.30pm - Procession

    In person
    Michael Fowler Centre

    There is 1 procession for all graduands departing from Parliament Grounds at 12.50pm Wednesday 15 April.

    All attendees must be in place and ready to go at 12.40pm.

    Buses will depart from the Michael Fowler Centre from 12.00pm to transport graduates/graduands and their guests to Parliament Grounds.

    At 12.50pm, the procession will depart from the forecourt of Parliament Grounds, up Lambton Quay, into Willis Street, across Jervois Quay and conclude at Frank Kitts Park.

  • 2.30pm - Ceremony 3

    In person
    Michael Fowler Centre, 111 Wakefield Street, Wellington

    All graduands from Te Tumu Whakatipu, Massey University College, New Zealand School of Music, College of Health, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Sciences and Massey Business School should attend this ceremony. Kai is available after the ceremony.

  • 4.45pm - Refreshments

    In person
    Michael Fowler Centre, 111 Wakefield Street, Wellington

    Light refreshments will be served after the ceremony.

Student and guest tickets

You'll receive a notification in your student portal (login required) when your tickets are available to download. This will be approximately 2 weeks prior to the graduation ceremony.

Make sure to download your ticket onto your phone and forward any guest tickets to your guests. We encourage you to show your tickets on your phone, printing is not necessary. Your student ticket states your row and seat number, so it is very important that you sit in the seat allocated to you.
