Learn everything you need to know about starting in the College of Creative Arts (CoCA). This is a great chance to meet other new students and staff. Join us for afternoon tea with light refreshments at 1pm, then stay for course selection, timetable support and zine-making.

We’ll help sort out your timetable and studio/workshop enrolments.

Tauira starting studies at the College of Creative Arts (CoCA) in Semester Two are invited to meet and greet our Māori and Pacific staff from across CoCA. There will also be support for understanding timetables and course planning.

It’s an informal way to connect with staff as well as spend some time in our dedicated Puawānanga classroom.

Come to Nau Mai for a kai and waka building activity to celebrate Matariki 2026. To align with the slogan, Matariki Herenga Waka, we will be making our own clay waka.

Pasifika students can drop into the Wellington Fale and check in with Fina and Akanesi. Come and hear about the services available to you and meet our Pacific staff on the Wellington campus.

Movie Day in Nau Mai before we all get to relax over Matariki weekend. Snacks and drinks from 10 am and lunch will be at 12 noon.

Study Skills 101 is a practical, introductory workshop offered during Orientation week. It helps students understand what’s expected as they begin their studies and introduces the wide range of support available through the Centre for Learner Success.

Explore key spaces such as reception, the gym, study areas, Māori and Pacific support, student services and the library. Perfect if you usually study from home but want to know what’s here when you visit campus.
