Auckland campus orientation - Ahunga ki Ōtehā

Welcome to the Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa Massey University whānau in Auckland!

Join us for orientation week beginning 7 July 2026.

Orientation is the best way to prepare for study. We put on heaps of fun events so you can meet other students. You’ll also learn important study information, learn the campus and understand support services. By the time classes start, you’ll be ready to get going.

    This session is for all Masters in Construction, Postgraduate Diploma in Construction or other construction postgraduate students. Students studying a Graduate Diploma or Diploma should attend the undergraduate session.

    Join us for an interactive and welcoming session where you’ll discover important information, meet other new international students and feel more at home. There’ll be plenty of opportunities to ask questions, connect with friendly support staff and have a bit of fun. You’ll also get a taste of Aotearoa New Zealand culture, with a mihi and waiata to start the day and fun activities and quizzes.

    This session is required for onshore international students and attendance will be recorded — we can’t wait to welcome you!

    An interactive session designed to help new students settle into university life and build meaningful connections with their peers. Through anonymous sharing, open conversations and a creative bracelet-making activity, students can begin forming friendships in a fun and supportive environment.

    Facilitated by Massey Guides, the session encourages a sense of belonging and helps students feel more confident and connected within the Massey community.

    Study Skills 101 is a practical, introductory workshop offered during orientation week. It helps students understand what’s expected as they begin their studies and introduces the wide range of support available through the Centre for Learner Success.
